Kuka Pasefika Cookbook
The Kuka Pasefika cookbook is a gift to all Pasefika families looking to learn more about our Pasefika traditional meals.
The cookbook idea emanated from the 'Under 5 Pasefika Families Healthy Meal' weekly competition during Covid-19 lockdown. Families with children under 5 were invited to prepare a healthy meal menu for a week, with each meal's ingredients costing under $30 to feed 4-6 people per meal. A food gift voucher provided by Pacific Health Services Hutt Valley was awarded to the families whose menus were accepted and they were willing to share their dish in the Kuka Pasefika Cookbook. This book is divided into selections - Everyday foods and Sometimes foods.
